How-To: Livery Upload

With the livery form you upload your liveries for ACC and AC EVO, so your communities can install them through collections and everyone can find them in the showroom. Which files a livery has and where you find them is explained on the page of each game: ACC Liveries and AC EVO Liveries.

Rules: respect the artists!

Every upload has to follow these rules, which you accept in the livery form:

Only upload what you may share. Upload your own work, or work whose artist allows you to make it available to the public.
Credit the artist. If you did not paint the livery yourself, choose Commissioned or Other as Artist and enter the artist's name and a link to their page or the original download (e.g. on RaceDepartment).
Only upload the files the game needs. For ACC, that means the _1.dds and not the _0.dds files, see ACC Liveries.

Uploading a livery step by step

Game: choose ACC, AC EVO or No game - showcase only. A showcase-only livery has no files, only images and a description for the showroom. The game cannot be changed later.
Livery folder: select your livery folder or drop it onto the form. The form fills in all files and everything else the folder tells, e.g. the car and the skin name or folder name, and lists the files it did not find. If you pick a folder of the other game, the form switches the game for you.
Livery: check the title and the car, and the Skin name (ACC) or Folder name (AC EVO): the name of the livery folder in the game, which no other livery of the game may use. Then tell us who the Artist is: you, or someone you commissioned or credit.
Files: check the files of the game, or pick single files by hand.
Showcase: add images and a description, see below.
Accept the rules and save.

Showcase

Add one or more images and a description to show your livery off; the first image is the preview. With Show in showcase switched on, the livery is listed in the showroom, as long as it has an image and the artist is known: either you painted it yourself, or you entered the artist's name. For AC EVO, livery_thumbnail.png is used if you add no images.

Adding a livery to a collection

Click Add to collection on the livery page or in your liveries, then choose the community and the collection. Only collections of the livery's game are offered. Repeat this for each further collection.

Collections can have rules: only certain cars, a limit of liveries per member, or an approval by the collection's owner before your livery shows up. See Livery Collections.
