Via the livery upload form you can upload your custom liveries. Currently only ACC custom liveries are supported, but other types of liveries might come in the future. Each livery can also be provided with information and Images for the showcase area.
Respect the artists!
The most important thing to consider, when uploading a custom livery, is to respect the original artists' work. Therefore please only upload content you are allowed to upload and make accessible to the public. If it is not your own work, please attribute the original work and artist by providing sufficient links in the Artist Link field of the form.
ACC livery files
An ACC custom livery consists of two layers (decals
and sponsors
). Each consisting of the image files (png
, dds
) and the material configuration (json
). You don't need to have both layers for livery, so it is sufficient to only upload the decals
files, and leave the sponsors
files empty - or the other way around.
DDS files
When an image is provided, it is important to upload the respective _1.dds too (sponsors_1.dds
or decals_1.dds
). Those files are created when you join a session (e.g. single player practice) with your custom livery. They are important, because they will avoid join lags in your multiplayer sessions.
The _1.dds
files are generated, once you join a (local) game session. Those files are usually 5.6MB
in size. If you have a file with about 20MB
, that is a _0.dds
file, and only used for the showroom, you should not upload these files.
If you need more insights and help with that, I highly recommend to you, watching Boonatix tutorial on custom liveries.
Custom Car files
Additionally you can upload multiple custom car files (json). This way you can ...
- validate your "Skin Name" is set correctly
- share a basic "Team" configuration using your livery and desired colour combination
- share multiple colour variations in combination with the ingame-editor capabilities
You find your custom car files in ~\Documents\ Assetto Corsa Competizione\Customs\Cars
on your PC.
The car files currently are not downloaded via the Desktop Client. But you can see each uploaded file on the single livery page.
Showcase
With the Artist Link you can provide one or more links to the livery artist's page and/or the original download location (e.g. on racedepartment). Please make use of this possibility!
You can enable your livery for the Showcase section by selecting "Show" in the Showcase dropdown. You additionally need to upload one or more images in that case. Otherwise we won't have anything to show.
Adding livery to a collection
Once a livery is uploaded. You can add it to a collection. Therefore the button [Add livery to another collection] is provided on every livery page. In the form after, you can select one collection. If you want to add the livery to multiple collections, you need to repeat that step for each collection.
