How-To: Communities

A community on Awesome Simracing belongs to a Discord server: a league, a team or a group of friends who race together. Its members see the community's collections and get their liveries with the desktop client. All communities are listed on Communities, where you can filter them by game.

Joining a community

Join the community's Discord server and log in again: you become a member automatically. If you switched off Join communities automatically through Discord in your settings, click Join community on the community page instead. See Register & Login.

Leaving a community

Click Leave community on the community page. You can stay on its Discord server, the login won't add you back. You can join again on the community page as long as you are on the server. Admins lose their admin role when they leave, owners cannot leave their community.

Creating your own community

Create a community for your Discord server under Communities in your account. You need

• a verified email address on your Discord account (see Register & Login),
• to be a member of the Awesome Simracing Discord server,
• the permission Manage Server on the Discord server, which must not have a community here yet.

You can own up to three communities. If you just joined the Awesome Simracing Discord or got the permission, log in again first, so we know about it. When your community is published, we announce it on the Awesome Simracing Discord server.

We expect communities to be friendly and respectful groups of people.

Managing your community

• Profile: edit the description, logo and links. Switch off Published while you prepare your community.
• Games: the games your community plays: ACC, AC EVO, AC Rally and/or AC. They show as badges and in the game filter on Communities.
• Members: add members, make them admins, remove them or block them. Blocked users neither come back through Discord nor can they join again until you unblock them. Admins can edit the community and all its collections.
• Collections: create the collections for your events, one game each, see Livery Collections.
• Ownership: hand your community over to one of its admins with Transfer ownership. You stay an admin.
• Archive: deleting archives the community with its collections. You can restore it for 30 days.
